"Everything we are today can be traced back to prior experiences."
My emblem consists of three separate pictures. My motto explains what I have learned from doing each mystery exercise. I realized that who I am today branches from each experience I wrote about in the discourse pages and smaller assignments. The cross represents my community and what I have taken away from being raised in church. The friends and memories I made that will hopefully last a lifetime thanks to the church I was brought up in. I put it at the bottom to serve as sort of the foundation to the whole picture itself since I consider it to represent the beginning of who I am as a person in a sense. The Facebook logo represents my career choice in media studies. I realized earlier in the semester that I became interested in media and the effects of consuming different types at a young age. I also use Facebook often and know that it is still a popular social media platform despite the constant and frequent introduction to new platforms. The last part of the emblem is an almost complete circle which I purposefully put around the Facebook logo because I am still figuring out just what it is I want to do with my career and that my journey is ongoing. There is always something new to learn and to experience.
